Applying for a PermitA building permit gives you legal permission to start the construction of a building project in accordance with approved drawings and specifications. The Village of Wadsworth requires a building permit for any project that results in an alteration or an improvement to a property. In general, minor changes, such as painting and property maintenance, do not require a permit.
Village building department services - plan reviews, building permits, and building inspections - are conducted solely by third-party vendor SAFEbuilt. The permitting process, from registration through permit assignment, is processed online with all project status communications conducted by email.
